Common questions

What is in it?

868 single best answer questions in 30 psychiatry categories and 70 clinical stations, every answer explained and referenced to the textbook. The bank is still growing.

Who is it for?

Doctors and medical students learning psychiatry, from the basics to specialist level.

Does it cost anything?

Not during the trial run. If that ever changes, you will be told first, and nothing is charged without your agreement.

Do I need someone else for the clinical stations?

No. Practise alone and mark yourself against the model answer, or have a colleague mark you on their phone while a third person plays the patient. They join with a code and need no account.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, in the browser. There is nothing to install.

Who sees my results?

Only you and the site administrator. Nobody else sees your answers or scores, and nobody is told that you use Pscholar. Read the Privacy Policy.

Is Pscholar part of any official body?

No. Pscholar is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, produced by or endorsed by any examination or licensing body.

Where do the questions come from?

Each is written for Pscholar to one learning objective, referenced to a textbook or guideline, and approved by a psychiatrist before it goes live.

How does a clinical station run?

Two minutes to read the case, then eight for the task, with a bell at each. Then the model answer and the marks: your own, or your colleague's.

What if I find a mistake in a question?

Press Report a problem under the question. Every report reaches us, and the question is corrected or withdrawn.
